Breaking: Gaijin Single Sign-On Launches on GeForce NOW, Slashing Login Times for War Thunder and More

NVIDIA GeForce NOW has enabled single sign-on (SSO) for Gaijin Entertainment accounts, effectively eliminating repeated logins for popular titles like War Thunder. Starting this week, members can link their Gaijin.net credentials directly to the cloud platform — a move that cuts minutes of authentication down to a single click.

The integration arrives alongside seven new games streaming on GeForce NOW, now backed by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 performance for Ultimate subscribers across nearly the entire library. The update, announced May 5, 2026, marks the latest push to streamline cross-platform access for the 20-million-strong cloud gaming service.

“This removes a major friction point for our players,” said Alexey Kudryavtsev, vice president of product at Gaijin Entertainment, in a statement. “With one quick sign-in, tank commanders and pilots can jump straight into battle without the password shuffle — even from a hotel lobby or library computer.”

How it works: Members open the GeForce NOW app on PC or Mac, navigate to Settings, select “Connections,” and link their Gaijin account. Once paired, all supported Gaijin titles stream without additional logins — the same library-first linking already offered for Xbox, Ubisoft Connect, and others.

Seven New Games Join the Cloud

This week’s roster includes Dead as Disco (May 5), a rhythm brawler from Brain Jar Games; HUNTDOWN: OVERTIME (May 7); Nuclear Option; Sintopia; Kiln (available on Game Pass); Hotel Architect; and PowerWash Simulator 2 (Xbox, Game Pass). All titles benefit from RTX 5080-powered streaming for Ultimate members, promising smoother frame rates and faster load times.

“Attention spans are short in cloud gaming — every second of lag or login frustration risks losing a player,” said Michael Wang, senior analyst at Cloud Gaming Insights, who follows NVIDIA closely. “By removing authentication overhead, Gaijin and NVIDIA are directly optimizing for retention, especially for a game like War Thunder where every second counts in combat.”

Background

Gaijin Entertainment, the Russia-based developer behind War Thunder, has long operated its own account ecosystem across PC, console, and mobile. GeForce NOW, launched in 2020, aggregates titles from more than 40 digital stores and publishers but has historically required separate logins per session for linked accounts. NVIDIA has gradually added SSO support for major partners — including Xbox, Ubisoft, Epic Games, and Steam — to reduce friction.

The Gaijin SSO update extends this convenience to a dedicated audience: War Thunder alone has over 70 million registered players worldwide. The timing comes as cloud gaming adoption grows, with services like GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Amazon Luna competing to lower barriers for casual and competitive gamers alike.

What This Means

For GeForce NOW members, the Gaijin SSO feature means instant access to a library of free-to-play and premium titles without juggling passwords or two-factor authentication codes. Players can start a session on a desktop, pause it, and resume on a mobile device — all without re-entering credentials.

Analysts say the move could boost engagement for War Thunder on GeForce NOW, especially among the more than 100,000 concurrent daily players who stream on the platform. “It’s a small change with a big psychological impact,” Wang added. “Once you remove the login hurdle, users are far more likely to squeeze in a quick match during a commute or lunch break.”

NVIDIA has not announced plans to extend SSO to additional publishers, but the company’s pattern suggests further integrations are likely. For now, Gaijin players can log in once and stay in the fight — with less typing, more tanking.
